Monster Party Rail Fence Quilt

A friend of my son was having his 7th birthday and I wanted to make him a quilt. I found out his favorite color was black.. hmmm...so I figured black & white and red all over...hahaha... I happened to have this great red party monsters print and threw this together in a few evenings.

This is also one of the best feeling quilts I've made, as I used a different batting than usual. Typically I use a polyester batt, but this time I tried a Hobbs Heritage batting that's 80% cotton & 20% polyester. It was wonderful to work with and I almost didn't want to part with it! I will be using that batting again once I use up all my polyester stuff.
